Iran MED 2024 Highlights

The International Exhibition of Medical, Dental, Laboratory, and Pharmaceutical Equipment, Iran MED, was inaugurated on October 10, 2024, with the presence of Dr. Heidar Mohammadi, Head of the Food and Drug Administration; Engineer Safavi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foreign Currency Savings Organization for Patient Treatment; Dr. Nourbakhsh, General Inspector of Health and Treatment Affairs of the National Inspection Organization; Dr. Saeed Reza Shahmoradi, Director General of the Medical Equipment and Supplies Department; and Mr. Abbas Taghaddosi-Nejad, CEO of Shahr-e Aftab Exhibition Center, at the International Exhibition Center of Shahr-e Aftab.

Similar to the previous edition, the opening ceremony of this event was broadcast live on national television for 120 minutes and was widely covered by public and specialized media outlets.

Strong Presence of Companies and Visitors

More than 300 active companies in the field of medical equipment participated in this exhibition, and over 15,000 professional visitors attended this international event. This exhibition, with the active participation of both manufacturers and importers, serves as an effective platform for all stakeholders in the medical equipment sector — from domestic and international suppliers to buyers, technical managers, biomedical engineers, market analysts, hospital and medical center administrators, as well as young professionals, investors, and enthusiasts in the medical equipment industry.

Workshops and Specialized Meetings

Iran MED 2024 hosted more than 35 specialized training workshops aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of trainees in various medical fields. Over 70 hours of educational programs were delivered by more than 40 expert instructors. In addition, specialized meetings with officials from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade were held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

Exhibition Venue

The venue for this exhibition was the “Shahr-e Aftab International Exhibition Center,” which, with its large space and suitable facilities, provided the best conditions for hosting such a large-scale event.

This exhibition was organized with the support and cooperation of various institutions and organizations, including: the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Iran Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Medical, Dental, Laboratory, and Pharmaceutical Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters of Iran, the Union of Medical Equipment Traders of Iran, the Association of Biomedical Engineering Companies of Tehran, and the Union of Medical and Laboratory Equipment Producers and Distributors of Tehran.
