The Iran Med International Exhibition of Medical, Dental, Laboratory, and Pharmaceutical Equipment and Supplies was held on October 10 at Shahr-e Aftab, with the participation of Dr. Ali Aghamohammadi, Member of the Expediency Discernment Council; Dr. Heidar Mohammadi, Head of the Iran Food and Drug Administration; Dr. Abdolnaser Azadbakht, Director General of the Medical and Laboratory Equipment Industries Office at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade; Dr. Jalal Ghaffarzadeh, Director General of the Medical Equipment and Supplies Department; and Abbas Taghaddosi-Nejad, CEO of Shahr-e Aftab International Exhibition Center.
For the first time, the opening ceremony of this event was also broadcast live on national television for 120 minutes.
Last year, the Iran Med 2023 Exhibition was held as one of the largest and most important events in Iran’s medical equipment industry.
More than 300 companies active in the field of medical equipment participated in the exhibition, which welcomed over 30,000 visitors, including:
Entrepreneurs, specialists, and individuals interested in this field.
The exhibition hosted more than 19 specialized training workshops aimed at enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills across various medical fields.
More than 50 hours of educational programs were presented by over 30 expert instructors.
The event was held at Shahr-e Aftab International Exhibition Center, whose spacious venue and suitable facilities provided ideal conditions for hosting an event of this scale.

Twenty-five percent of these products come from the United States, while 75 percent are imported using the preferential exchange rate. Considering these figures, it appears that we need a significant shift in the management approach of the relevant ministries so that the obstacles in this sector can be addressed through a multidimensional perspective on healthcare.”
