Getting to Shahr-e Aftab Exhibition Center

Shahr-e Aftab Exhibition Center in Tehran is one of the capital’s largest and most important cultural and economic venues. Built on a 138-hectare site, the complex hosts numerous national and international exhibitions, festivals and events every year.

Getting There by Metro

The best way to reach the exhibition center is by metro. Shahr-e Aftab Station is located on a branch of Tehran Metro Line 1.

History of Shahr-e Aftab

The Shahr-e Aftab project began in the 2000s and, following several years of construction and development, officially opened in 2016. The complex has since hosted major exhibitions, including the Tehran International Book Fair, as well as dozens of other significant events.
