Introduction
The Iran Med National Award is held to identify and honor outstanding domestic products, technical and engineering services, and innovative student projects in the field of medical equipment. Award Categories and Judging Criteria
Category One: Manufacturing (3 Awards)
This category is dedicated to commercialized medical equipment products. Awards are presented in the following three areas:
1- Quality and Reliability Award
Judging criteria:
- Compliance with national and international standards (ISO, CE)
- Durability and performance under real-world conditions
- Quality control reports and user feedback
- Number and consequences of reported defects
- Customer satisfaction reports
- No technical problems or product recalls since the start of production
2- Innovation and Technology Award:
Judging criteria:
- Level of innovation and originality in design and performance
- Use of advanced technologies
- Use of artificial intelligence
- Domestic and international patent registrations
- Potential for further development and future capabilities
- Recognition through international innovation awards
3- Economic and Market Impact Award
Judging criteria
- Domestic and international market share
- Foreign currency savings and reduced dependence on imports
- Affordability and cost-effectiveness
- Job creation and supply chain development
Category Two: Technical and Engineering Services (3 Awards)
This category is dedicated to companies providing technical and engineering services and after-sales support.
1- After-Sales Service Quality Award:
Judging criteria
- Response time and speed of resolving problems
- Accessibility and nationwide service network
- Customer satisfaction assessments and surveys
- Provision of warranties and long-term support
2- Innovation in Technical Services Award
Judging criteria
- Use of modern technologies in service delivery (such as remote support)
- Development of creative solutions to reduce equipment downtime
- Training and empowerment of end users
- Provision of analytical reports on equipment performance
3- Industry Development Impact Award
Judging criteria
- Contribution to the development and localization of complex technologies
- Collaboration with research centers and universities
- Holding recognized international certifications
- Promoting proper maintenance and efficient use of equipment
Important: Only companies exhibiting at Iran Med 2025 are eligible to enter this award competition.
Category Three: Student Projects (3 Awards)
This category is dedicated to student projects and ideas that have not yet been commercialized.
1- Innovation and Originality of Idea Award
Judging criteria
- Novelty and uniqueness of the idea
- Potential to address a real challenge in healthcare
- Extent of research conducted before submitting the project
- Potential for patent registration or publication of an academic paper
2- Feasibility and Commercialization Award
Judging criteria
- Technical and economic feasibility of the project
- Existence of a preliminary business plan
- Feasibility of mass production and attracting investment
- Alignment with market and healthcare system needs
3- Social and Scientific Impact Award
Judging criteria
- Potential to improve quality of life and public health
- Potential to reduce healthcare system costs
- Progress of the project (at least one prototype)
- Contribution to scientific knowledge and publications
Registration and Submission Process:
Applicants must specify the category in which they wish to participate and email their supporting documents to awards@iranmedexpo.com according to the timeline above, no later than 7 Mehr 1404.Note: Applicants must state their chosen category in the email subject line; for example: “Application for the Iran Med National Award – Manufacturing Category – Innovation and Technology Award.”

- Catalogs, performance reports, videos, and articles
- For the student category: a project proposal, an introduction from the academic supervisor, and preferably a letter of recommendation from the supervisor

In addition, the following statement must be submitted as an attachment on company letterhead, bearing the company stamp and signature.
With full knowledge of the terms and conditions for participating in the “Iran Med National Award,” I undertake that:
- 1. All information, documents, performance reports, product samples, and technical data submitted by this company are accurate. Any distortion, concealment of facts, or submission of false information may result in legal action and disqualification from the judging process.
- 2. The Iran Med Award Organizing Committee reserves the absolute right, at any stage of the judging process, including after the results have been announced and prizes awarded, to revoke any prizes granted (including trophies, certificates of appreciation, cash prizes, and any other benefits) if a discrepancy is discovered between the submitted statements or documents and the facts. In such a case, this company shall be required to return all prizes immediately.
- 3. This undertaking confirms the company’s full acceptance of all the above conditions and is legally binding.
